Eaton Investments Ltd., Inc. was founded in 1999 with the specific objective to pursue the development of residential communities including single family, multi family, senior housing, condominium and assisted living.
The principals have a combined 45 years of real estate experience, which includes land acquisition, financing, conceptual planning, zoning, land development, project construction management, sales and marketing. Our philosophy is that the development business is a business of details which have to be accurately identified and administered. We control the controllable and manage the uncontrollable to successful conclusion. It's not only how you start, but more importantly how you finish that brings success to a real estate development. We are dedicated to high quality, complete communities where the planning, covenants, and details will insure the success of the development from the outset as well as insure the economic integrity of the development for all involved whether it be a builder, homeowner, development site purchaser, renter, or a community planner.
Terry L. Eaton
Terry Eaton began his real estate career in 1966 with the Shell Oil Company. He served as a midwest real estate manager in various cities and in 1972, founded a real estate development company to develop commercial retail shopping centers.
In 1977, having moved the company to Indianapolis, he founded Eaton & Lauth Real Estate Services and expanded into office, industrial, business, park, build to suit, and apartment development. In addition to development activity, the company served as its own general contractor and construction manager building developments for its own account as well as contract construction services for many clients throughout the United States. To date, the company has participated at various levels in real estate developments with over $1 billion dollars in value. The company continues to be a major development and construction company in the Indianapolis market as well as performing development and construction services for many clients on a national level.
In 1995, Terry sold his interest in Eaton & Lauth and concentrated on managing his personal accounts. In the Fall of 1999, having previously participated in several residential developments, he formed Eaton Investments Ltd., Inc., with the primary objective to develop land for various residential uses, including single family, multifamily, assisted living, senior housing and condominiums.
Terry received his bachelors degree in Economics from Ohio University and his Masters degree in Economics from Miami University of Ohio. He was a former member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute and Building Owners and Managers Association. He is a licensed Indiana Real Estate Broker. Terry is currently a Director and Chairman of the Executive Committee of MetroBancorp, a Carmel, Indiana based holding company. Additionally, he serves as a Director of Crossroads of America Council of the Boy Scouts of America, as president of Meridian Hills Country Club, a Trustee of Meridian Street United Methodist Church and has served on many non-for-profit boards throughout his career
Jason S. Challand
Jason Challand began his real estate career in 1996 with Colliers Turley Martin Tucker. He served as an Industrial Sales and Leasing Broker and was responsible for facilities acquisition and disposition, tenant and landlord representation and industrial investment and land sales. He has been involved in sale and lease transactions with consideration in excess of $80 million dollars.
In 1999, Jason joined Eaton Investments Ltd., Inc. as Vice President. He is responsible for a variety of tasks, which include site selection, contractual negotiations, due diligence, analyzing bids from contractors and builders, project supervision, communicating with local governing bodies and other daily activities. Jason is constantly looking for new development sites and is always available to discuss new land opportunities with owners and or their representatives.
Jason received his bachelors degree from the School of Technology in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University. He is also continuing his education to become a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) and is a licensed Indiana Real Estate Broker.
Jason is a member of the Purdue University Alumni Association, Meridian Hills Country Club, the Penrod Society, and volunteers for Crossroads of America of the Boy Scouts of America and the United Way of Central Indiana.
